Hey guys! Resident Browntown Historian here (man this is already starting to ring a few bells...) and I would like you to know a little bit more about me and my experience with Browntown. Here goes:

I first joined Browntown circa October 2014. I was 11 and had seen one of my favorite Minecraft YouTubers playing TTT on a game called Garry's Mod. My brother signed into his steam account on my laptop and enabled Family Sharing so I could play on my account. I launched the game, went to the server browser, and joined the very first TTT server that I saw: Browntown 24/7 Minecraft Vanilla, colloquially known as MCV.

After joining MCV, it wasn't too long before I realized that Browntown had other servers, and I joined a little server known as CSS. I never looked back. I spent hundreds of hours playing on CSS, and on March 9, 2015 I was for the first time accepted as part of the Browntown staff team, joining it as a T.Mod on CSS while having 288 hours on the server (and 366 globally).

Moving forward I would remain as staff for a good while, then retire, and then come back (normally about a year later, give or take a few months). This happened many times. This leads us to today, where just about a month ago I joined the Browntown Development team, and I couldn't be happier about it.

I am now 17, and Browntown has been a part of me through nearly a third of my life. It sounds sappy, but it's abundantly clear that I would not even resemble myself today if it were not for Browntown. Browntown morphed my friends, my interests, and my personality. Browntown has really helped me in my life. In late 2015 when my father passed away, it was Browntown that gave me all the support that I needed, and it was here where I felt most comfortable sharing that information — more comfortable than I did sharing it with people I know in person. Browntown is part of what led me to figure out what career path I want to take. I always had a natural affinity for math, but when I think of what really sparked my interest in Computer Science, I think of those days I spent sitting in RaidCall. Zoeo, though I wasn't good friends with him, was in the Browntown RaidCall as he was developing the servers, and my curiosity led me to ask him about it. At a young age, it was Browntown that sparked my interest in programming, and soon enough I was learning Lua, then later Java, and other languages. Now I am fully planning on going to college to study Computer Science and search for a career in Software Engineering.

Browntown is a part of me.

And this is my story.

I hope to see you all on the servers, and in the Discord!
